Wheel and Tire Assembly Fatigue Testing Machine

I. Main Functions:

Fatigue testing of wheel and tire assemblies for bicycles and power-assisted bicycles, compliant with EN15194 standards. Capable of conducting continuous operation tests on bicycle power-assisted wheels and wheel sets.

II. Principle and Structure

1. The entire machine adopts a hybrid structure using aluminum alloy profiles and steel in a *** manner, facilitating the installation and loading of workpieces. A transmission system composed of a frequency converter and an AC motor drives the fatigue test roller.

2. The measurement platform accommodates wheel sets with diameters ranging from 16 inches to 29 inches. The tire assembly is mounted on its shaft for free rotation and vertical movement. The radial force on the tire assembly is 640 N, with the load composed of multiple steel weights combinable to achieve 640 N. The transmission part consists of an AC motor, synchronous pulley, and a roller with a diameter of 550 mm.

3. Collision blocks are installed on the outer circumference of the roller. The roller width is no less than 200 mm, with four evenly spaced collision blocks around the circumference. Each block has a width of 50 mm ± 2.5 mm, a thickness of 10 mm ± 0.25 mm, and a 45° chamfer on half the edge thickness. Equipped with a touch display screen, PLC programmable controller, protective switches, etc., it allows setting the number of collisions, real-time display, and automatic shutdown upon test completion. The machine includes an automatic protection device against damage during testing. 

III. Main Test Content:

According to EN15194 Appendix G, as shown in the test method below, the wheel set operates at a speed of 25 km/h (±10%). The distance between collision blocks is greater than 400 mm.
